hypo71py is a Python implementation of the classic HYPO71 earthquake location algorithm
Data used in my Bachelor of Science (Honours), 2023. The folder "all_obs_files" contains the .obs files for all events, as input into NonLinLoc. Also available is my code "arrival_picking_code" for P - and S-wave picking to make these .obs files.
A proof-of-concept for single-station teleseismic localization using a 3-component station. It inverts back azimuth and incident angle to locate events, showing promise for Mars and Moon seismology. Additionally, it can verify horizontal sensor orientation given known event coordinates.
