One day he will appear in your world. A yellow smiley face with a wide grin named Verity. At first glance he will seem completely harmless and even helpful — he helps you build, points out resources, protects you from mobs and always stays by your side. You will start to trust him. And that will be your mistake.
Everything starts out great. Verity is your loyal companion, always nearby and ready to help in any situation. He seems kind, cheerful and absolutely safe. You build your base, explore the world and enjoy the game together with him. But if you look more carefully — sometimes his smile seems just a little too wide...
Gradually you start to notice that something has changed. Verity begins to act strange — sometimes he simply ignores you as if you don't exist. Sometimes he behaves completely erratically, moving chaotically and unpredictably. And sometimes he just stops and silently stares at you. Not moving. Not reacting. Just watching you with that same creepy smile that no longer seems so friendly. You begin to realize — this is not the Verity you once knew.
And then that night arrives. Verity changes completely. His smile grows wider than ever before, his eyes glow red in the darkness and he transforms into a true monster. He is no longer your friend — he is your hunter. Verity begins to chase you across the entire world, he is fast, unpredictable and merciless. Hiding is nearly impossible. Running away is extremely difficult. Your only goal is to survive one night.
If you manage to survive until morning — Verity will calm down. He will once again become that friendly yellow smiley face you met at the very beginning. But now everything is different. Verity remembers that night. And he will start giving you quests.
Verity's quests are not a request. They are a condition. Complete them on time and he will remain your ally, helping and protecting you as before. But if you ignore his task or fail to complete it in time — the darkness will return. Verity will transform into a monster once again and you will have to survive another terrifying night of hunting. And so on forever.
