Quality Research Settings
This dialog allows you to configure which item quality levels are available for purchase via the !buy command, and whether research requirements should be enforced.
Controls which quality tiers viewers can request when using the !buy command.
- Awful (Gray) – Lowest quality, basic functionality
- Poor (Light Gray) – Below average performance
- Normal (White) – Standard quality with no bonuses
- Good (Green) – Slightly improved stats
- Excellent (Blue) – Noticeably better than normal
- Masterwork (Purple) – High-end with significant bonuses
- Legendary (Orange) – Best possible quality with maximum bonuses
Note: Each quality level displays with its traditional MMO color coding for easy recognition.
Controls whether technological research is required before items can be purchased.
- Enable research requirements – When checked, items will require corresponding research to be completed before purchase

Allow purchase of unresearched items – Only visible when research requirements are enabled
- When checked: Viewers can still purchase items even if the research hasn't been completed
- When unchecked: Items requiring unresearched technologies will be unavailable for purchase
- Changes take effect immediately for new
!buycommands - Quality settings affect all purchaseable items that have quality levels
- Research settings only affect items that have specific research requirements
- Disabling lower quality levels can help maintain higher colony standards
- Enforcing research requirements can create natural progression in your stream
