Changes
- Added plugin support. You can now launch emulator ROMs or Videos directly from AKMenu-Next if the associated plugin is installed.
- File list can now handle more files per folder, credits to @RAMDRAGONS
Plugins
- Install plugins by downloading a plugin or plugin pack, extracting it on your computer and copying the
_ndsfolder and any other files it comes wth to your SD card and "Replace" files if on Windows andMergefiles if on MacOS. The file types supported by the plugin should then show up on the list. Please see the plugins link above. - For .gba files and the GBA plugin, if an Original EZ Flash 3 in 1 is inserted, the 3 in 1 takes priority over the plugin.
Known Issues
- Not all emulators are compatible with the DSi SD card, this is not something I can solve as some emulators are older and require a flashcart no matter what.
- There are bound to be some bugs or broken plugins, please open a issue stating your setup and which one doesn't work and I will look into it

- Added cheat support for Pico-Loader
- DSpico users on a DSi or 3DS can now additionally access & play games from their DSi/3DS SD card with nds-bootstrap (Pico-Loader can only be used with the DSpico SD card)
- Added per-ROM game loader options
- Added autorun last game toggle in the settings
- The last run ROM upon boot is now auto-selected by the cursor in the menu instead of just the folder
- The favourites folder is now also supported as a last run rom destination
Bug Fixes
- Fixed white screen when using nds-bootstrap on a DSpico on a DSi/3DS and no SD card was inserted to the DSi/3DS
- Fixed a bug causing nds-bootstrap to show an error 2 screen if a Slot 2 Flashcart with RAM expansion is inserted while loading a game
- Fixed a bug causing the game "Battle of Giants Mutants Insects" being detected as homebrew
Known Issues
- Exiting a game from nds-bootstrap on a DSpico on a DSi with Unlaunch installed causes a crash on a black screen. This is an issue with nds-bootstrap, the issue tracker for this bug is available here: DS-Homebrew/nds-bootstrap#1925

- DSiWare supported when using a DSpico on a DSi or 3DS with Pico-Loader. DSi NAND files must be present on the root of the SD card and a NDS ARM7 BIOS dump must be present inside the
_picofolder for this to work. More details on setting up DSiWare support is available on the DSpico guide linked above.

- Support for custom icons, defined in
_nds/akmenunext/icons. Icons are standard Nintendo DS Banner BIN format. Disabling custom icons in the settings will fall back to the built in classic Wood R4 icons. Not all custom icons are implemented, for now the MicroSD, Slot 1, Slot 2, & Folder Icons are supported.
MicroSD Icon = microsd_banner.bin
Slot 1 Icon = nand_banner.bin
Slot 2 Icon = gba_banner.bin
Folder Icon = folder_banner.bin
You can use NDS Banner Editor to make changes to them.

- DSi build includes a
titlefolder for HiyaCFW users removing the need to install/update AKMenu-Next using NTM.
Pico Loader Usage (Supported Flashcarts Only)
- Navigate to Pico-Loader Releases.
- Download the version of Pico-Loader that corresponds with your flashcart. Its important to check your flashcart is supported! Using the wrong version may damage your flashcart!. To check, see the Supported Platforms section on the Pico-Loader repository.
- Extract the contents files inside the Pico-Loader download to the
_picofolder on the SD card. - Load up AKMenu-Next, go into the Settings, Navigate to the "nds-bootstrap" section and change "Game Loader" to "Pico-Loader".
Please ensure you are using Decrypted ROMs with Pico-Loader. If you need to run Encrypted ROMs, put a copy of the Nintendo DS ARM7 BIOS dump as biosnds7.rom in the _pico folder.
This release (akmenu-next-flashcart.zip) has also been tested on the DSPico Flashcart. To autoboot, please ensure both boot.nds and _picoboot.nds are copied over. Currently AKMenu-Next only runs in DS mode on the DSpico.
