Workato is an enterprise automation and integration platform that enables organizations to integrate their apps and automate business workflows without extensive coding. It provides a low-code/no-code interface for creating integrations between cloud applications, on-premises systems, and databases. The platform now layers Enterprise MCP, Workato Genies AI agents, Agent Studio, and Workato Embedded on top of its iPaaS foundation, with API Edge Gateway for on-premises deployment and RBAC 2.0 with environment- and project-scoped roles.

The Workato MCP Server API provides endpoints for creating, configuring, and managing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that expose Workato API collections as tools for AI agents. It supports server creation, tool management, user group assignment, and policy configuration. MCP servers generate unique authenticated URLs usable by AI development environments like Claude Desktop and Cursor. Workato now markets this as Enterprise MCP, the agentic AI surface built on top of the iPaaS, and recently added nine prebuilt MCP servers including Dropbox, Freshdesk, ZoomInfo, Notion, Discord, and Microsoft Teams. MCP is available in the US, EU, AU, JP, and SG data centers.
