Before moving into cloud-native engineering, I spent almost a decade working in networking, carrier-grade telecoms and protocol engineering, testing and analysing technologies ranging from TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6 and IPsec to LTE EPC, optical transport and CDN platforms. That foundation still shapes how I approach distributed systems today. I enjoy understanding systems from the packet level all the way up to the Kubernetes control plane.
