I am a Frontend Engineer based in Toronto, ON, with a background spanning network operations, systems infrastructure, and modern web development.

My path to software engineering is slightly unconventional. I started my career as an Information and Network Officer in the military, transitioned into roles as an Operations Engineer managing critical network infrastructures, and eventually found my true calling in frontend development. This background gives me a distinct advantage: I don't just build user interfaces; I understand the systems, servers, and networks that power them.

I am currently wrapping up a Computer Programming diploma at Seneca Polytechnic (GPA 4.0/4.0) and am looking for opportunities in frontend, full-stack, or software engineering roles.

• A personalized vocabulary learning tool that leverages the Google Gemini API to generate contextual words and sentences. It uses IndexedDB to handle local caching for datasets up to 50MB+ and supports high-resolution PDF/PNG exports of custom flashcards.

• A bilingual vacation rental platform integrated with Supabase for PostgreSQL database management and file storage. It features a custom CMS built with drag-and-drop mechanics (@dnd-kit) allowing non-technical owners to easily update listing assets.

• A live-streaming dashboard that visualizes environmental metrics using WebSockets. Built with RESTful APIs and a custom JWT automated token-refresh flow to maintain seamless, secure connections during continuous telemetry tracking.

• A serverless food-sharing platform built to reduce community food waste. It features Redux for client-side state management, Google Maps API for localized restaurant discovery, Firebase Auth for security, and Algolia for instant search capabilities. Fully tested end-to-end using Cypress.

• A semantic, responsive travel guide page for Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan. It showcases clean layout structures, lightweight CSS frameworks, integration of embedded media components (Google Maps, YouTube player, and HTML5 audio controls), and strict adherence to responsive design principles.

Most frontend developers view the application as starting at the browser level. Because of my systems background:

• I build with production infrastructure in mind. I write frontend code understanding how API gateways, caching layers, and server loads affect user response times.
• I understand network security. Having mitigated DDoS attacks and managed firewall policies, I naturally write frontends that respect secure storage, token lifecycles, and CORS settings.
• I automate. If a task needs to be done more than twice, I build a TypeScript or Python automation script to handle it, whether it's setting up local test environments or parsing logs.
