Are split transactions supported?

Not at the moment. The model supports split transactions, so it's possible to extend the interface to support them.

I recommend avoiding split transactions. I originally used split transactions in the SwingTix records, but I found it difficult to import them into GnuCash so in the end I stopped using them. I am frustrated there weren't any open data exchange formats that support split transactions: OFX certainly doesn't!

How is this different from Oscar Accounts?

It's a similar idea. It's a shame it didn't exist when I started work on SwingTix. Hopefully we can share ideas to the benefit of both projects.
