Why did I make this? Because I have free will, and I decided that the world definitely needed another way to consume Japanese cartoons. Also, because I can.
Welcome to Mugiwara, the anime streaming site that's currently being held together by duct tape, caffeine, and pure unadulterated stubbornness.
Look, I'm currently binging One Piece, so obviously Luffy and the gang work flawlessly. Other shows? It's a gamble. If they don't work, don't @ me—I'll fix them when I eventually get around to watching them. Just kidding (mostly)... I'll fix them later. Also, I'm well aware the latency is absolute trash—chill out, I'll optimize it once I'm done procrastinating.
- Watch Anime: It streams. Most of the time. Probably.
- Watchlist: For all those shows you'll definitely "get to later" (we both know you won't).
- History: So you can remember exactly where you left off before you fell asleep at 3 AM.
- Search: Find your waifu/husbando with ease.
- Skip Times: Because nobody has time for the "previously on" segment for the 400th time.
- Next.js: Because standard React is so last season.
- Firebase: Keeping your data safe(ish) in the cloud.
- hls.js: Making sure those moving pictures actually move in your browser.
- Tailwind CSS: Because writing actual CSS is too much work.
- Shadcn UI: For when you want to look professional without actually trying.
If you really want to run this locally for some reason:
- Clone this mess:
git clone https://github.com/your-username/mugiwara.git - Install dependencies:
npm install(grab a coffee, it'll take a while). - Run the chaos:
npm run dev(cross your fingers). - Behold: Open http://localhost:3000 and hope for the best.
I don't know, MIT? Just don't sue me if it breaks your heart.
