Software Engineer (Universidad de Oviedo) and MSc in Artificial Intelligence (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), based in Langreo, Asturias.
My throughline has always been the same: taking artificial intelligence from research into the real world. During my internships and my Bachelor's/Master's thesis, I researched sleep quality in arthritis patients using wearable devices and machine learning / deep learning models, exploring transfer learning strategies to classify sleep stages — work that eventually led to a co-authored conference paper. Later, at ITCL Centro Tecnológico, I designed an audio source separation system based on Spiking Neural Networks, built with a modular architecture aimed at scalability and long-term maintainability.
Outside the lab I equally enjoy full-stack development: databases, backend, frontend and deployment, with the same attention to quality I bring to an ML model. And this year I lived a completely different adventure: I was a contestant on MasterChef Spain, season 14 — an experience that taught me as much about teamwork under pressure as any development sprint.

RatioX.net is a recipes and cooking-content website that I design, build, and maintain solo — born out of my time on MasterChef Spain, season 14, with a presence on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and X as @omarmchef14. It's more than a blog: it's a small product with its own modular JavaScript frontend (no frameworks), a search bar with filters by type, dish, course, difficulty, diet, and allergens, a graph view of related recipes ("Map"), and a "Kitchen" section. Deployed as a static site on Cloudflare Pages, with its own analytics and a custom-built cookie banner.
