Examples of Configurations to be run with HYCOM

HYCOM-examples provide example(s) of domain configurations (scripts and files) to be run with HYCOM and is equivalent to the old hycom directory. HYCOM-examples can be cloned directly into ~/HYCOM-examples:
git clone --recursive https://github.com/HYCOM/HYCOM-examples.git ~/HYCOM-examples

In the HYCOM-examples/datasets directory, a script is provided to download non domain-dependent atmospheric forcing and ocean climatology products compatible with the domain-dependent scripts of the configurations (CORE2_NYF, PHC3_HYCOM, WOA13_HYCOM, WOA18_HYCOM). These products can be used for the domains provided here (i.e GLBt0.72) or for new (user-created) domains. Similarly, the scripts provided in the configuration directories can be adapted to create input files for new domains.

Note that most of the scripts in the domain configuration uses executables from the HYCOM-tools directory. (https://github.com/HYCOM/HYCOM-tools).
