ExpatRights publishes practical, English-language information for foreigners dealing with China employment law, Chinese labor-law disputes, employment contracts, unpaid salary, dismissal and severance, release letters, labor arbitration, work permits, and tenant or landlord problems.
ExpatRights is developing an AI-assisted legal-information and document-processing tool for China-related matters. The planned direction is to help users:
- organize contracts, notices, messages, payment records, and other case documents;
- identify parties, dates, obligations, missing records, and questions that need human review;
- build a clear evidence timeline and issue checklist;
- connect each issue to relevant public legal resources; and
- prepare better questions for a qualified lawyer or legal professional.
The tool is intended to support organization and research, not replace a lawyer, decide a case, or provide guaranteed legal conclusions. Privacy controls, source visibility, careful handling of personal information, and human escalation are core design requirements.
- China employment law and workplace rights for foreigners: Employment contracts, release letters, unpaid wages, dismissal, severance, evidence, and labor arbitration in China.
- China visas, work permits, and residence documentation: Public guidance concerning work permits, residence permits, visa documentation, and job changes for foreigners in China.
- China tenant, rental, and housing disputes: Lease review, deposits, rent, landlords, agents, written demands, and housing evidence for foreign tenants in China.
- China legal process, contracts, evidence, and dispute preparation: Practical information about organizing documents, preserving evidence, understanding contracts, and preparing questions for legal professionals in China.
The China Expat Legal Help Resource Library groups additional public guides by topic. A machine-readable legal-resource catalog and public site metadata index are included for research and future AI-tool integration.
This repository contains only public descriptions and links derived from the ExpatRights website. It does not contain client files, legal-intake submissions, private case facts, identity documents, API credentials, internal drafts, deployment logs, or the website source archive.
Do not post personal case details or upload documents to a public GitHub issue. Use the ExpatRights contact page for the appropriate intake route.
The repository and linked materials provide general legal information, not legal advice. Laws, procedures, and individual circumstances change. Confirm important decisions with an appropriately qualified professional.
