SmartSpeed AI is a Manifest V3 Chrome extension that adds a floating speed controller to HTML5 videos and can automatically jump through silent sections using the Web Audio API.

- Open your browser(chrome,edge,etc.) for eg- Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions. - Enable
Developer mode. - Click
Load unpacked. - Select this folder:
speed controller ext. - Open a page with an HTML5 video and use the floating SmartSpeed AI controller.
- Some DRM-heavy or cross-origin video players may block audio analysis. Manual speed controls still work when the browser allows playback-rate changes.
- Chrome may require a direct user interaction before audio analysis starts on a page.
- The extension stores only preferences and aggregate time-saved analytics by hostname.
