Missing ".unwrap_err()" method

Am I missing something or is there no "direct" way to retrieve the Err value like it would be with ".unwrap_err()"?

Yeah there isn't unwrapErr in this library. We have that method in our fork (https://ts-results-es.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reference/result.html#unwraperr).
