recommended CUDA-12.8.0 and PyTorch-2.9.0, but can be installed with PyTorch 2.7.1 and CUDA-12.6.0 from foss/2024a toolchain.

@boegel informs me that toolchain foss/2024a is ok if v1.4 is compatible with PyTorch-2.7.1 -> go for foss/2024a
