Wrong status message after cancelled registration

Describe the bug

After derestering for an event, the API status message for the event reads "Your registration for this event is cancelled. Note that you cannot re-register.". The website uses a different status message indication you can reregister, and you can also in fact reregister

How to reproduce

1. deregister for an event where you can reregister
2. See the status message in API

Expected behaviour

A correct status message
