Hardware "back" button doesn't work on passcode screen

My phone (Samsung S4) has a hardware Back button. If I accidentally launch SN and didn't want to, the Back button does not do anything on the passcode prompt screen. The Back button should quit the app here.

Hmm..the back button here was explicitly disabled, since first the app launches, then presents the passcode window. Back would dismiss the passcode window. I'll have to see if there's a way to programmatically dismiss an app. I'm sure it's possible to quit an app, but that would kill it completely, including from multitasking.
