Describe the issue

I am having an issue with the cooling mode in the integration. When I turn it on through the official application, it works and I can see the active status in Home Assistant. Similarly, if I trigger it directly on the device, Home Assistant correctly shows that cooling is active.

However, when I click on the HVAC modes dropdown in Home Assistant, I only see options for Heat and Off. While heating and turning it off work fine, it is impossible to activate cooling directly from the UI. I have seen videos of this integration where cooling mode works.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this, or has anyone encountered something similar? Thanks in advance!

Same here. Not as a complaint to the maintainer of this integration, I think Panasonic is (again!!!!) the source of it. For me cooling worked and without updating the integration, the functionality disappeared. I can't help it, but if I had known this I would never have bought a Panasonic.

I am moving to integrating Heishamon, for what I understood, a better physical interface with no need to the cloud.
Update: Updating (repulling) Home assistant did the trick, it works again.

Still why is this so incredibly fragile, only blowing against it will break it. I still think we have Panasonic to thank for this!

Yes cloud server are quite unreliable though it's not as bad as it was a few years back.
The best thing they could do would be to enable local access but that is not something Panasonic HQ (Japan) is interested in, I've been in contact with Panasonic EU they are more willing but they don't seem to have the mandate to do this.

Replacing the communication device with a ESP based one is the only way to gain local control for now.
