Paused Video Freezes Controls When App Returns From Background

## 🐜 Bug Report

1. Open the app
2. Pause the video
3. Send the app to the background
4. Wait 5 seconds
5. Return the app

## Expected Behavior

6. Player should show the video paused and controls are responsive

## Current Behavior

6. Player stopped displaying the video, and the controls are not responsive
