IPhone Notifications absent until app to front

What happened?

There is no background activity for the app, and thus no push notifications.

How can we reproduce the bug?

1. Goto iPhone settings->General->Background App Refresh
2. Look for Lichess, note that there is no entry. (At least not on my phone)
3. Start a correspondence game with another player.
4. Play a couple moves.
5. Send the app to the background while it’s the other player’s move.
6. Wait 5 mins.
7. Other player makes a move.
8. Note there is no notification or badge.
9. Bring Lichess to the front.
10. Note the server update.
11. Send to the background again.
12. Note that there is now a badge.

Expected behavior

Background updates should cause badges to appear without user interaction
