Is the BOUNDARY_FUEL_MODEL still necessary?

Should we continue to support the BOUNDARY_FUEL_MODEL or are there suitable alternatives? I'd like to decide before the release of FDS 7.

I still see it being used here and there, though not often, and it doesn't add a ton of bloat IMO... so I would keep it. But perhaps we can open a discussion poll to see if people do, for what reason, and if they have tried with particles. There are scenarios like non-level set fuels on complex topography where we probably have some work to do to support particles in the same way. What is the time-frame for making this call?

I noticed that the BFM was accidently invoked in another issue and I wondered if this is something we really need. Nothing pressing--I just want to raise the issue.
