chore(distribution): promote RIGStats on Reddit and Product Hunt

Goal

Get visibility for RIGStats through community/launch posts. Unlike the other distribution issues, these are one-off exposure events, not persistent catalog listings — no per-release maintenance, no "keep it up to date" step.

Reddit

Self-promotion rules vary a lot by subreddit and change over time — check each subreddit's rules/wiki right before posting (many require a specific flair, a minimum account age/karma, or restrict self-promo to a weekly megathread). Suggested targets, roughly in priority order:

• r/pcmasterrace — huge audience, directly the target demographic (gaming PCs), but historically strict on self-promotion; look for a weekly "self-promo" or "software Saturday" style thread instead of a standalone post
• r/buildapc — PC builders care about temps/monitoring; check self-promo rules
• r/overclocking — hardware monitoring is core to this community's interest, likely receptive
• r/opensource — open-source angle, generally welcoming of "I built this" posts
• r/software — general software discovery, usually allows submissions with the right flair
• r/Windows11 — tech-focused, tool showcases sometimes welcome with proper flair
• r/SideProject — indie-dev-friendly, good for a "look what I built" framing

Suggested post angle: lead with the open-source + no-telemetry angle and a screenshot (portrait or wallpaper mode), not a wall of feature text.

Product Hunt

• Create a maker account at https://www.producthunt.com if not already done
• Prepare launch assets:
  • Tagline: short, e.g. "A lightweight, open-source hardware monitor for your desktop or wallpaper"
  • Gallery images: assets/rigStats.png, assets/floating-mode.png, assets/rigStats-desktop-wallpaper.png, assets/rigStats-landscape.png
  • Description: reuse the standard description text (see other distribution issues, e.g. chore(distribution): submit RIGStats to Softpedia #143/chore(distribution): submit RIGStats to MajorGeeks #144)
  • Links: https://rigstats.app (website), https://github.com/dvalfrid/rigstats (source)

• Schedule the launch (Product Hunt launches run midnight–midnight PT; posting right after midnight PT maximizes visibility)
