Can't install STT

I tried installing STT with pip but I keep getting this error below

ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement stt
ERROR: No matching distribution found for stt

Can you provide information about your system? What operating system, architecture, version of Python, version of pip, etc. And just in case, try updating pip before you install STT: python -m pip install -U pip

Dont worry i didnt use the right dir name for the scorer

Here is the error i am getting now

Looks like you have a corrupted scorer file somehow.

FWIW I've just uploaded the new 0.10.0a5 version which should be compatible with older versions of macOS with a simple python -m pip install stt instead of the hack I described above.

Unfortunately, I'm back to the original problem: ERROR: No matching distribution found for stt

I follow the Quickstart from the documentation:
python -m pip install coqui-stt-model-manager

The conflict is caused by:
    coqui-stt-model-manager 0.0.20 depends on stt==1.3.0
    coqui-stt-model-manager 0.0.19 depends on stt==1.1.0
    coqui-stt-model-manager 0.0.18 depends on stt==1.0.0
    coqui-stt-model-manager 0.0.17 depends on stt==0.10.0a13
    coqui-stt-model-manager 0.0.16 depends on stt==0.10.0a13
    coqui-stt-model-manager 0.0.15 depends on stt==0.10.0a13

To fix this you could try to:
1. loosen the range of package versions you've specified

I can't install stt manually.

pip install stt

If you see this, it means there is no wheels of stt available for your python version and CPU architecture combination.

If no distribution was found, you have the following options:

1. You can help Coqui to build wheel for your platform with the help of CI (checkout Feature request: Support Apple Silicon M1 on macOS #2023 ).
2. You can build stt and make the python bindings yourself (docs).

At least it tries to.
But it fails to install numpy==1.19.5
clang: error: the clang compiler does not support 'faltivec', please use -maltivec and include altivec.h explicitly
I already have a newer version of numpy installed (1.22.3)

Hey Florian0. What version of Python are you running. If you are running a m1 mac computer, then you have to either upgrade your python version to the latest version to support the m1 mac or compile from source.

Updating Ubuntu 20.x LTS to 22.x LTS fixed the issue (Ubuntu on WSL 2).
The newer stt package releases apparently require a newer Ubuntu distribution.

Edit: coqui-stt-model-manager can't be installed, as it depends on an older stt 1.0.0.
