OpenDriverInterface Code of Conduct

OpenDriverInterface is an open-source project that values the participation of every member of the community. We are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all contributors and users. To maintain a positive and inclusive community, we have established this Code of Conduct, which applies to all interactions within the project.

Our Standards

We expect all members of the OpenDriverInterface community to adhere to the following standards:

  1. Respect: Treat all individuals with respect, kindness, and empathy. Be considerate of others' opinions, ideas, and experiences.

  2. Inclusivity: Be inclusive and open to contributions and feedback from all members of the community, regardless of their background, identity, or experience level.

  3. Be Collaborative: Collaboration is at the heart of open-source. Work together with fellow contributors in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

  4. Constructive Communication: Strive for constructive and respectful communication. Avoid offensive language, personal attacks, and trolling.

  5. Appropriate Conduct: Do not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or behavior that creates an uncomfortable environment for others. This includes, but is not limited to, harassment based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or nationality.

  6. Respect Privacy: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others. Do not share personal information without explicit consent.

  7. Listen Actively: Be an active and attentive listener. Value feedback and suggestions from others.

Reporting Incidents

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the project maintainers at contact@opendriverinterface.com. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.

Malicious intent

We do not tolerate malicious behaviour in any form. If you are found to be acting with malicious intent, you will be permanently banned from the community. No prior warning is required. For this matter no obfuscation of code is allowed whatsoever.

Enforcement

Project maintainers are responsible for enforcing this Code of Conduct. Actions taken in response to violations may include:

  • A request for clarification or an apology.
  • Temporary or permanent expulsion from the community.
  • Reporting incidents to relevant authorities when necessary.

Project maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct.

We are grateful for the contributions of the entire OpenDriverInterface community. Your cooperation and adherence to this Code of Conduct help create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone can contribute and collaborate effectively.
