RuneCards on your home network

  1. Double-click start-runecards.bat on the host PC and keep its window open.
  2. The window prints one or more addresses. On another PC or Android phone connected to the same home network, open the address beginning with the host PC's LAN IP (for example http://192.168.1.20:8765).
  3. If Windows asks, allow Python through the firewall on Private networks only.
  4. On Android Chrome, use Add to Home screen / Install app from the browser menu. The in-page Install button also appears where the browser supports it.

All devices use %USERPROFILE%\.runecards\save.json on Windows, or ~/.runecards/save.json on macOS and Linux. Avoid changing the save simultaneously on two devices; the most recent completed action wins.

For a stable address, reserve the host PC's IP in your router (DHCP reservation). This server is intended for a trusted home network and should not be port-forwarded to the internet.
