Over the past month, I have modded (RGH3) several Xbox 360 consoles and discovered that, starting with version 0.993 of the Xenon Linux Loader, all subsequent versions are unable to load an xenon.elf (MUPEN64) file in XeLL boot mode.
I encounter this issue with all new Xenon Linux Loader versions released after 0.993. Specifically, it affects the following versions:
v1.3-git-3380c7a
v1.5-git-c2c23af
v1.9-git-be2cdb4
The problem does not depend on the specific Xbox 360 model. I have experienced the same issue with Trinity (16 MB), Corona v1 (16 MB), and Corona v4 (4 GB) boards.
The xenon.elf file I want to load in XeLL Mode (eject Button) is related to MUPEN64 emulator. USB Drive is recognized accordingly and also formatted properly.
Ultimately, I was able to downgrade the NAND memory on the affected consoles using J-Runner-with-Extras v3.3.0r4.
All newer versions generate XeLL/NAND images containing a Xenon Linux Loader version higher than v0.993.
If XBox360 is started in "normal" Mode (Start Button), Dashboard is able to load different *.xex files from USB Stick
I tried several J-Runner-with-Extras (not loading)
J-Runner-with-Extras v3.4.0r2 (Xenon Linux Loader: v1.3-git-3380c7a)
J-Runner-with-Extras v3.4.0r4 (Xenon Linux Loader: v1.5-git-c2c23af)
J-Runner-with-Extras v3.4.0r5 (Xenon Linux Loader: v1.9-git-be2cdb4)
working:
J-Runner-with-Extras v3.3.0r4 (Xenon Linux Loader: v0.993)
Best regards
