Contributor Agreement (Voluntary Pre‑Funding Phase)

1. Nature of Participation

By contributing to this project, you acknowledge that:

  • All contributions are fully voluntary.

  • There is no financial compensation available at this stage.

  • No promises, guarantees, or expectations of future payment, employment, or contracting can be made.

  • Your participation does not create an employment, contractor, or partnership relationship.

This clarity protects both contributors and the project.

2. Purpose of the Project

This project is in an early development phase, combining:

  • a personal research and design initiative

  • a formal grant application trajectory

  • community‑driven experimentation

Your contributions help shape the platform, but they do not create ownership claims or financial entitlements.

3. Contribution Expectations

Contributors are expected to:

  • engage respectfully and collaboratively

  • communicate availability and limitations

  • contribute only when they genuinely want to avoid joining with expectations of compensation or future paid roles

Inactive contributors may be removed to keep the project manageable.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated:

  • You retain rights to your own original work.

  • You grant the project a non‑exclusive, perpetual license to use your contributions within the platform.

  • You may request removal of your contributions if they are not yet integrated into core functionality.

This ensures fairness and avoids exploitation.

5. Transparency and Boundaries

The project commits to:

  • transparency about funding status

  • clear communication about expectations

  • avoiding coercive, manipulative, or hierarchical dynamics

  • protecting contributors from false promises or pressure

Contributors commit to:

  • respecting the voluntary nature of the project

  • asking questions early if anything is unclear

  • withdrawing if the structure no longer fits their needs

6. Removal of Access

The project may remove contributor access if:

  • the contributor becomes inactive

  • expectations are misaligned

  • the contributor requests removal

  • the project enters a new phase requiring a different structure

This is not punitive; it is operational hygiene.

7. Future Funding

If future grants or funding are secured:

  • roles will be defined transparently

  • contributors may apply, but no priority or entitlement is implied

  • voluntary contributions do not convert into paid obligations

This ensures compliance with regulations and ethical clarity.
